Grandad's Teeth - Rod Clement
"Who stole my teeth?" said Grandad and everyone in the town was looking for Grandad's teeth. Everyone had to smile to show that they had not stolen his teeth. I liked the book because they all had to smile.

The Great Escape from the City Zoo - Tohby Riddle
This story is about some animals that escaped from the zoo. At the end of the story the anteater stayed in the city, the elephant stayed in the city fountain, the tortoise went back to the zoo and they don't know about the flamingo - if he is dead or alive! I liked the book because of the pictures.

Josh - Andrew and Janet McLean
Josh was a very smart dog. Josh helped to make the boy's bed and the boy gave him breakfast and played lots and lots of games with him. I liked the book because it had good illustrations.

Queenie the Bantam - Bob Graham
I think the story was great because I didn't know a chicken could walk so far and back in a day and that it takes a while to lay eggs.
I really enjoyed the book because of the terrific illustrations and the cute little chicken.

The Two Bullies - Junko Morimoto
It was a good story because a man who was the strongest in Japan (Ni-ou) went to fight the strongest man in China (Dokkoi). Ni-ou was scared to fight Dockoi because he could hear him coming home so Ni-ou went to his boat and rowed away. Dokkoi said "Who has been here?" and he went outside and threw an anchor at Ni-ou's boat. Ni-ou remembered his file and escaped back to Japan. Both men told their friends and relatives about the power of the other. I liked this story because it was funny.
