OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
|
Mount Terry Public School has been awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Australian College of Educators in the Illawarra South Coast for their work in developing pre-service teachers.
Congratulations to all the staff members involved in managing the pre-service program and acting as mentors for the pre-service teachers from the University of Wollongong, Charles Sturt University and University of New England.

Sports Gala Day
|
On Tuesday 30th June 60 students from Mt Terry PS attended a sports gala day.
They participated in fun activities for cricket, baseball, tennis, AFL and basketball.

Thank you to our parents
|
We have been very lucky at Mount Terry Primary School to have such generous parents. A huge thank you to the Wilson family, for the donation of a bird aviary, which will be used as the basis for the new chook pen. Another thank you is in order to Mrs Ferguson, whose granddaughter is in year 6. She has been busy propagating birds nest ferns and other rainforest plants which we are planting in our rainforest areas. Some of these are pictured below.

K-2 Athletics Carnival
|
Congratulations to all the K-2 students, the athletics carnival was a great success. All the students ran in the races and earned points for their houses.
The novelty events were varied and very enjoyable.

Beverly Whitfield Awards
|
Congratulations to two of our students in receiving the Shellharbour Council’s Beverly Whitfield Award for their fine effort at our school’s swimming carnival. Their awards were presented by Mr Weir the General Director of Shellharbour Council at the Monday morning assembly.
