Education Week
What a week!

The theme for Education Week is based on Environmental Education.
At Mount Terry Public School we held Enviro Walks. These walks were conducted by Year 6 students in the school grounds. The students explained the environmental education programs in place already and our plans for the future.

We also held:
The annual Library book donations
Open classrooms
Launching of the Faculty of Education DVD by the Dean of Education from Wollongong University.
The biggest morning tea to raise money for cancer research.

Our school was aslo awarded three Illawarra South East Region Education Awards.

Kindergarten 2010
We will be holding our annual ‘School Readiness” evening on Monday 29th, June 2009 at 6.30pm in Kinder room 1.

This is a night for parents of students considering enrolment in 2010, who wish to obtain more information about the skills that help children make the transition to ‘big school’ a smooth one.

We will also be discussing the introduction of the “Best Start” assessment of all Kindergarten students in 2010.
